Travel Booking Guidance for Speakers

Processes and Guidelines: GO GLOBAL to ACFR

All Committees are free to make their own independent travel plans for expert speakers.
However, the guidance below may be useful when using ACFR official travel agent, GO GLOBAL.

Step 1: ACFR or local chapters send request for tickets (request should include personal details of passenger (DOB, gender, and TSA PRECHECK or GLOBAL ENTRY number, frequent flier numbers, if any) and routing details (arrival/departure times and airports).

Step 2: GO GLOBAL will submit schedule proposal to both, speaker and requesting committees for review and approval.

Step 3: Once all involved parties agree to proposed schedule, GO GLOBAL will send itinerary for ticketing by the airline. NOTE: our default proposal is basic economy ticket (usually least expensive, non-refundable, with a fee for checked bag) unless specified otherwise by the committee.

Step 4: Once ticketing is done, speaker will receive email with detailed itinerary and the committee will receive email with detailed itinerary and invoice for speaker’s tickets.

RECOMMENDATION: whenever possible, ticketing should be done at least 30 days prior to travel. Ticket prices tend to increase 30 days prior to travel. Ticketing less than 21 days prior to travel is expensive and ticketing less than 14 days prior to departure is even more expensive.
